“Minimal Predicaments” WORKSHOP, 5h.
This specialized workshop focuses on minimalist rope techniques designed to create intentional
predicament scenarios. Intended for partnered participants, the course explores how simple ties can
be eƥectively utilized for controlled physical challenges.
Description:
Participants will learn eƥicient, minimalist bondage techniques that maximize eƥect with minimal
rope work. Through guided exercises, pairs will explore individualized approaches to predicament
bondage while developing essential skills in a structured environment. The workshop emphasizes
both technical proficiency and creative application.
Requirements:
Equipment:
• Minimum of 6 ropes (jute or hemp preferred)
• Safety shears
Technical Prerequisites:
• Single column tie proficiency
• Basic suspension lock-oƥ knowledge
Participant Prerequisites:
Bottom/Model:
• Must have experience managing discomfort
• Must be able to recognize signs of nerve compression, recognize diƥerences between blood
compression and nerve compression and communicate eƥectively
Top/Rigger:
• Must be competent with partial suspensions
• Must demonstrate proficiency with basic lock-oƥs
Note: This workshop provides a balanced approach to technical skill development while maintaining
focus on safety and consent throughout all exercises
About the teachers
Ana
Rope bottom, self-tier and rigger. Started doing ropes some years ago and nowadays is mostly into predicaments and semenawa, with special interest in Kanna-Ryu style and minimalist ties. Over the past few years, she has been learning and improving her skills – attending workshops from Pauline Massimo, Nawashi Kanna & Kagura, Tamandua, Mango & Lies, and Anna Noctuelle, just to name a few. Ana does self-tie & self-suspensions, and in early 2021 created the Portuguese project KNOTY, hoping to create a space for all people, bodies and styles, including self-tie. Ana truly believes self-tie is a valid form of shibari like any other style and that rope bottoms may and should contribute to the community by teaching. In the BDSM world, she is a bottom with a brat side that enjoys receiving pain through teasing and bratting.
D1re_W0lf
Rigger & rope-a-holic. A BDSM / Shibari enthusiast and lover of all kinds of bondage, he has been actively involved in BDSM for half a dozen years. Highly sadistic, he enjoys giving pain and has a special interest in semenawa and minimalist ties. Has attended several international workshops including Mango & Lies and Tamandua. In mid-2021, he joined the project KNOTY and nowadays, with Ana, they both run a shibari space in Porto. Regarding BDSM, D1re_W0lf is a Dominant person, Sadistic and Brat Tamer. He’s a mentor for a BDSM project named The Whole that aims to promote knowledge and experience exchange between kinksters.
Ana and D1re_W0lf are life and kinky partners. Together they explore and navigate through sensations and emotions, exploring different ways to extract emotions. Both aim to create a space where people may feel safe to be themselves, and they love to empower others, talk about consent and exchange knowledge and life experiences.
